Privacy
The short version: the app never records or sends your audio, and this website doesn't track you.
The app
- Audio is analysed in memory on your computer, then discarded. It is never recorded, saved, transcribed or sent anywhere.
- On your computer, the app keeps your settings: which microphone, your calibration (two numbers describing your normal voice and the room's background noise), sensitivity, appearance and language.
- If session history is on, it also keeps a summary of each session on your computer: when it ended, how long you spoke and how much of that was at your normal level. You can turn history off and clear it in the app.
- Nothing the app keeps leaves your computer unless you send it yourself.
Error reports
If the app sends an error report, it contains the app version, your operating system, and a description of what went wrong. It contains no audio, and no name, email or IP address is stored with it. Reports are used only to fix problems.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers.
- The hosting provider may keep standard request logs, which include IP addresses, for a short time to run and protect the service.
- If you use the contact or enquiry form, what you type is kept, including your email address if you give it, so you can get a reply. Forms are delivered by email through Postmark.
